Being here now, with Percy
Life is too short to live in the past or for a tomorrow that will soon become a yesterday.
To quote Bob Dylan: “he not busy being born is busy dying.”. Words to live by. I think that life is a journey of evolution, re-invention, and contribution. Too many people spread negativity and bad mojo, longing for a past that doesn’t exist anymore. Or ignoring the present by focusing on a future that may never come. These people seem to be everywhere these days. And they are more than willing to do what they can to drag us along on their tortured journey.
Let’s reject these people and their unhappiness. Embrace life. Live today. Seek out what you enjoy and make that a priority. Contribute to the world. Create rather than consume. Define who you are, and who you will become.

About Percy
Just another working class hero
Coming to terms with my internal wiring as an overly Type A ENTJ (for you Meyers-Briggs geeks) and my desire for normalcy and balance is a constant battle. I chose Percy Thrillington as my nom de guerre in this war as an homage to Paul McCartney, because why not?
At the age of 57, I decided that it was time to get back on a motorcycle. I had spent years convincing myself I would ride again “one day” and one day never came. This summed up my life at that moment… focusing on the wrong things and trying convince myself I’d focus on me later. Letting other people and outside forces keep my life off balance through their negativity, selfishness, lunacy, and monkey tossing.
Now I am once again riding. Enjoying being more connected. More in the moment. More alive. But the battle continues.
The dude
Businessman, photographer, Army veteran, technologist, diabetic, and motorcyclist. I love to create. I have re-invented myself many times over the years. And I doubt that will stop.
I am a problem solver and enjoy tearing things down to seek ways for improvement.
I have a passion for travel. Experiencing other cultures. Trying new things. Observing, capturing, and creating moments.
The bike
I love my bike. She’s a 2018 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200. She has a custom Le Pera Stubs Cafe seat and a full Stage 1 upgrade.
Her name is Sophie and she is named after our dog who suddenly died a few weeks before I bought the bike. I ride with Sophie’s leash in my swing arm bag as we make our way through the world.
There are many bikes in the world. But this one is mine. And there is not another bike like her.
The journey
My journey through life has taken me down more paths than I could have imagined. Provided me with an abundance of diverse and impactful experiences. Has challenged me in ways I’d not thought possible.
It seems like too many people stay firmly focused on reaching their destination. They forget to embrace the moment. The now. And often it is the little things in these moments that ultimately dictates where our journey will lead us.
